Meet the designers: Hello Parry

Cant believe we're so close to the day of the show already but firstly our last post on the designers is here! And we are so excited to be featuring our collaboration with Hello Parry!

1. Why did you decide to be part of the Love Thread and Co. collaborative capsule collection?

I wanted to be a part of the Love Thread because I believe it's a good cause where the profits go towards helping empower and teach at risk women in Bali skills they can use to work in a fashion-related industry and pursue their dreams. As a close friend with Angeline and several of the LTP ladies, I have seen first hand how passionate they are about the project. I feel honoured to have the opportunity to contribute (in a small way) to the project by being a part of the capsule collection.

2. What were the inspirations behind the designs you created?

A super chic interpretation of the minimalist trend, built exclusively upon clean-cut lines, a pastel colour palate and overall enduring simplicity.
For this spring summer collection, we embraced weightless materials such as silk, linen and bamboo jersey. It's only a small capsule with a total of 7 pieces, but they are the key pieces that will withstand the test of trend and season. These include camisole tops, the slip dress, linen wrap skirt, basic top/dress, maxi skirt, night/day dresses and white linen dresses with a slim fit that can either be dressed up or down.

3. What challenges are there when it comes to producing ethical clothing?

For me I feel that one of the biggest challenges for producing ethical clothing is that there is a relatively limited availability and range of sustainable raw materials.

4. Have you noticed a change in terms of transparent sourcing & production within the industry over the last few years?

I think people are generally becoming more aware of where their clothes are made.

So excited for our show this Sunday! Stay tuned for more blog posts and follow our Facebook and Instagram pages to get the latest updates :)
